2022 PIPEÑO blanco

This wine is made from a blend of Torontel, Corinto (Chasselas), Cristalina (Semillon) and Muscat d’Alexandria. The dry farmed vines are over 100 years old, planted in sandy soils in two separate plots, a total of 3ha. The grapes are hand destemmed using the traditional zaranda method. The juice then ferments on skins for seven to fifteen days in open top wooden vats. The wine is then settled in tank before bottling - sometimes with minor filtration and a pinch of SO2. 12.2% ABV

2022 el mismo país

Louis-Antoine is from Beaujolais, so releasing a version of País nouveau only makes sense. The own-rooted, dry farmed vines are over 200 years old. The sandy decomposed granite soils and isolation has kept phylloxera at bay for centuries. The grapes are fermented as a combination of whole cluster and destemmed carbonic maceration for eight days before being pressed off into stainless steel for élevage. It is bottled unfined and unfiltered with 10ppm SO2. 10.6% ABV

2021 PIPEÑO PAÍS

The País for this project comes from 200+-year-old vines planted in Maule. The iron-rich clays are punctuated by quartz and granite. The grapes are hand destemmed using the traditional zaranda method. The wine ferments in open-top lagares for two weeks before being pressed into traditional pipas for a brief élevage. The wine is then settled in tank before bottling - sometimes with minor filtration and a pinch of SO2. 13.5% ABV
