2021 Pipeño BLANCO

This wine is made from a blend of Torontel, Corinto (Chasselas), Cristalina (Semillon) and Muscat d’Alexandria. The vines are over 100 years old, planted in sandy soils. The grapes are hand destemmed using the traditional zaranda method. The juice then ferments on skins for up to three weeks in open top wooden vats. The wine is then settled in tank before bottling - sometimes with minor filtration and a pinch of SO2. 12.7% ABV

2021 el MISMO Paìs

Louis-Antoine is from Beaujolais, so releasing a version of País nouveau only makes sense. The own-rooted, dry farmed vines are over 200 years old. The sandy decomposed granite soils and isolation has kept phylloxera at bay for centuries. The grapes are fermented as a combination of whole cluster and destemmed carbonic maceration for eight days before being pressed off into stainless steel for élevage. It is bottled unfined and unfiltered without SO2. 11.5% ABV

2020 PIPEÑO PAÍS

The País for this project comes from 200+ year old vines planted in Maule. The iron rich clays are punctuated by quarts and granite. The grapes are hand destemmed using the traditional zaranda method. The wine ferments in open top lagares for two weeks before being pressed into traditional pipas for a brief élevage. The wine is then settled in tank before bottling - sometimes with minor filtration and a pinch of SO2. 13.5% ABV

2019 PAÍS DE QUENEHUAO

These 300-year-old vines are located between the towns of Sauzal and Empedrado. The goal here is to celebrate specificity of site. Soils are a mixture of granite and clay. The grapes are fermented semi-carbonic in tank before being fully crushed to finish aerobic fermentation. 14.5% ABV

2019 HUASA DE PILEN ALTO

This wine comes from two adjacent sites farmed by Margarita Flore and Lionel Diaz. This elevated vineyard (580m) is hidden in a mountain valley 30km from the coast. The cooler climate results in lower alcohol levels and less drought pressure. The País vines here are between 200 and 300 years old and are planted on a mixture of red clay, granite, and schist. The grapes are hand destemmed using the traditional zaranda method before being fermented in lagares. The wine then ages in a combination of tank and barrel. 13.2% ABV

2017 GORDA BLANCA

This wines is made from a blend of Moscatel, Torontel, Corinto, and Semillon from 250+ year old vines. The site is located in Bio Bio near the town of Guarilihue. The grapes were fermented on skin for four days before being pressed off into stainless steel. 12.4% ABV

2020 PET-NAT

This wine comes from 200-year-old País vines planted on sand and clay. The grapes are direct pressed to stainless steel tank for fermentation. The wine is then lightly filtered and bottled while there is still 12 grams per litre of sugar in the must. Fermentation finishes in bottle resulting in a lightly sparkling rosé. 10% ABV
